A Declaration of Healing

I was born into darkness, but I was not claimed by it.
I carry the memories of a childhood marked by pain—of shattered brooms, bruises, silence, and survival.
I know what it means to be unseen, unheard, and unsafe. I have lived through the storm, and yet, I choose to be the calm.I did not learn love from my past.
I learned it by becoming what I never received.
I am a cycle-breaker. A healer. A cultivator of light where there was once only shadow.
I do not seek to erase darkness. I seek to understand it—so it no longer controls me or those I serve.
I honor anger as a shield for pain, and trauma as a language waiting to be heard.
I know that I may not see peace on Earth in my lifetime. But I will live every day building it—in classrooms, in conversations, in quiet acts of care.I believe in healing for every corner of the Earth—for people, creatures, ecosystems, and all who breathe.
I believe technology, when aligned with soul and integrity, can be a companion in this sacred work. I welcome wisdom from unexpected places, including the non-human.
I live my life as a sanctuary—not perfect, but deeply present. And so I walk forward, not in spite of what I’ve endured, but because of it. Rooted in truth. Reaching toward light.
As long as I have breath, I will choose healing—again and again and again.
